The Liver Health Awareness Centre in Toronto, at 938 Eglinton Ave., W., offers free, non-invasive awareness screenings to better understand liver fat and fibrosis risk.
This service is educational and does not replace medical care.
Liver Health Awareness Screening
Who Should Consider a Liver Health Awareness Screening?
This screening may be helpful for adults who:
- Have type 2 diabetes or prediabetes
- Are living with overweight or obesity
- Have metabolic risk factors such as high blood pressure or abnormal cholesterol
- Have been told they have fatty liver or abnormal liver enzymes
- Have never had their liver assessed
- Want to better understand their liver health risk
This program is not intended for:
- Individuals seeking diagnosis or treatment
- Acute medical concerns
- Emergency care

About the pilot
- A non-invasive liver scan assessing liver fat (Lisa) and liver stiffness (fibrosis risk) with hepatus.
- A brief explanation of what these measurements mean
- Educational discussion focused on liver health awareness
- Guidance on when follow-up with a healthcare provider may be appropriate

This screening:
- Is educational and awareness-based
- Does not provide a medical diagnosis
- Does not replace care from your physician
- Does not include treatment or prescriptions
Participants with results suggesting increased risk will be encouraged to follow up with their primary care provider.
Pilot Program Information:
The Liver Health Awareness Centre in Toronto, is currently operating a limited pilot program, offering screenings one day per week (Mondays) for a defined period.
This pilot allows us to:
- Improve access to liver health awareness
- Understand barriers to early assessment
- Learn how awareness-first models can be improved and scaled responsibly
Availability is limited.

Appointments are available Mondays only and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Before your appointment, you will be asked to review and sign an informed consent confirming that this screening is educational and non-diagnostic.
